Housekeeping
Been working on some font embedding for the blog this weekend, and thanks to some ingenious on-line tools, it works in IE8 and pretty much nothing else. Not in Firefox, not in Safari, nothin'.
It does look pretty sweet in IE8, though.

It looks about the same in Chrome.
(They still make IE?)
Need a bigger picture to see the difference. Not sure what you're going for but typically special font tricks either work in on e browser or another but seldom work in several. Good luck with it, whatever it is.
Ah, I see know. Yeah, it works fine in Chrome (my browser). IE8 and Chrome should be good enough. I wouldn't worry about the others. Firefox has gotten too bloated and Safari and Opera are for rouge internet users. :)
I think you should worry about the others. Most non-IE users use Firefox. Especially Linux/Unix users.
Not that there's much to worry about. Besides the fonts, it pretty much looks the same in my browser.
Very cool. I didn't even know that was an option...
On my computer the post's text font in IE8 is bolder and a lighter gray, but the type of font is the same in Mozilla and Chrome - just not bold and closer to black. The title is exactly the same in IE8 and Chrome, but it is completely different in Mozilla.
It really does look good. I love the plethora of fonts there are in the world.

It's an option if you blog is not brown. Just sayin'.
The real irony is that IE has historically given me the most indigestion regarding blog layout. Now it's the only one to render correctly.
The technique I used should have worked in IE and Firefox and not Safari. Not sure what's going on here.
OK -- it does work in Safari and IE.
And the new Headline is "Chapter Capitals", which I authored myself after the classic headline letters used in "Avengers Forever". It's not identical, and the kerning could be improved, but it looks like a Comics headline font.
I like the font...it's got hints of pre-war, Art Deco-ish modernism.
hmmm... it needs more brown.
I love the "WATCH YOUR TONE!" blurb on the right.Made me laugh, 'cuz those who read Pyromaniacs enough get that one.
Fine work.

So what tools did you use?
