We interrupt this controversy ...
In spite of, or perhaps because of, the current standoff in the meta, let me direct you to the fact that today is the National Day of Prayer -- a day which some people might think of as a real encroachment on the church due to the non-sectarian nature of the event which crosses over even the lines between Christian, Jew and Muslim.
Listen: say a prayer today that our judges will be just, our leaders will be humble and brave, and our nation will turn away from its self-absoption and to the only hope it has, which is the name of the Lord.
Whether I'm a jerk or a genius, you can do that with a clean conscience.
